Basement Bathrooms
We have a new innovative product that we use to finish basement bathrooms. It doesn't yet have a name, but we will refer to it as our custom Prefab basement finishing system. There are many cons to the current basement finishing systems. First, in some cases, you are stuck with their color. If you want to change colors down the road, you would need to replace all the panels -- and they are costly. Also, most of these panels are made from fiberglass. In a humid climate, sweating may occur. This will break down the panel. Especially in a bathroom, you are not going to want to install fiberglass. Also, with most prefab systems, you are only stuck with certain angles (22,45, 90,180).
Conversely, our prefab system is made from a special foam with a high r-value insulating rating, we can match any angle, and they are paintable. We can tile on top of them. They are perfect for the basement bathroom.
One thing to consider now that your basement is dry is who you will hire to install you basement bathroom. Before you select someone, ask for their credentials to finish a basement bathroom. Odds are, they have none.
To completely renovate a traditional bathroom, you need to remove the walls. But that is the extent. The plumbing and electrical usually already exist.
A basement is a different story. We need to work around duct work, we need to cut out the floor tie into the main line, repour the floor, install a new vent stack, etc. The point is, there are many things to consider.
Now that you have a dry basement, a basement bathroom is a great addition to any basement remodel. Ultra-Dry is able to install any of the needed plumbing or work with exisiting pumbling to create the basement bathroom of your dreams. Every mancave needs a urinal! - yeah, we can install that too.
